Covid-19: Important update

In light of the current restrictions introduced by the UK Government on 23rd March 2020 to combat the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), the offices of Walker & Sharpe are currently closed.

The current crisis threatens the health and wellbeing not only of our staff and clients and their families, but also the wider community.

Whilst the closure of the office will undoubtedly impact upon some of the practical aspects of the work we carry out, we hope you will appreciate that every effort must be made to observe the Government restrictions by cutting out all non-essential travel and social contact.

Arrangements have been made where possible for key members of staff to carry on essential business.  If you have any urgent business please contact us by telephone on 01387 267222 or email at

Civil Law

Debt recovery

We offer advice on all areas of debt recovery, and assist both clients who are being sued for money and clients looking to recover money they are owed.  We regularly recover money owed to individuals, businesses and landlords, and can assist at every stage from issuing demand letters through to the enforcement of Court decrees.

Contract disputes

Contract disputes can arise in many different circumstances, but generally arise in respect of the supply of goods and services and the failure by either or both parties to adhere to the agreed terms of the contract . It’s important to take legal advice as soon as possible to minimise the impact a contract dispute could have on your personal or business finances.

Declaring bankruptcy isn’t an easy decision to make, and we understand that it’s not the route you would have chosen for your personal or business finances. However, sometimes it’s a necessary action to take and can actually help you to put an end to serious debt problems.

Property disputes

At Walker & Sharpe, we have the experience with a wide range of issues when it comes to property disputes. Whether you’re a homeowner, a landlord or a tenant, we understand that you’re looking for the simplest and most efficient solution to your problem, and our knowledgeable team are here to help.
