COVID-19: Here to Help

As part of the fight against the spread of COVID-19 our office is currently closed to the public, but we are still here to help. Many of our key people continue to work from home, and if you need to contact us, please do so by telephone on 01387 267222 or by email at

Many of our clients are understandably concerned at this time to ensure that their Wills and Powers of Attorney are up to date.  We can take instructions remotely on these and other matters, and where necessary we can make arrangements to witness or notarise documents safely and in accordance with physical distancing guidance.  We are also able to continue to give advice and to represent clients in relation to court proceedings, both civil and criminal.

Travel and social contact restrictions undoubtedly have an impact on certain aspects of our service, but we continue to endeavour to deal with the business of our clients as efficiently as possible, while at the same time observing the restrictions necessary to protect the health and wellbeing of our staff, clients and the wider community in the face of this unprecedented situation.

Civil Law

Debt recovery

We offer advice on all areas of debt recovery, and assist both clients who are being sued for money and clients looking to recover money they are owed.  We regularly recover money owed to individuals, businesses and landlords, and can assist at every stage from issuing demand letters through to the enforcement of Court decrees.

Contract disputes

Contract disputes can arise in many different circumstances, but generally arise in respect of the supply of goods and services and the failure by either or both parties to adhere to the agreed terms of the contract . It’s important to take legal advice as soon as possible to minimise the impact a contract dispute could have on your personal or business finances.

Declaring bankruptcy isn’t an easy decision to make, and we understand that it’s not the route you would have chosen for your personal or business finances. However, sometimes it’s a necessary action to take and can actually help you to put an end to serious debt problems.

Property disputes

Whether you’re a homeowner, a landlord or a tenant, we understand that you’re looking for the simplest and most efficient solution to your problem, and our knowledgeable team are here to help.
