Walker & Sharpe, a long-established and well-regarded general practice firm based in the heart of Dumfries, is seeking a Trainee Solicitor to join our team from June 2025.

We offer a broad training experience across core areas of legal practice, including civil and criminal court work, private client, and conveyancing. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and conscientious individual to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• holds an LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from an accredited university (candidates due to receive their Diploma at the end of the 24/25 academic year will also be considered)
• is hardworking, motivated, and demonstrates excellent communication skills
• is able to demonstrate initiative working both independently and collaboratively with our experienced team
